If you run regularly or you’d like to start give these 3 stretches a go before your workout! Flexibility is a really important factor when running. The majority of us sit all day every day & then when you get up to run there are certain areas in your body that ‘tighten’ up. These include your hip flexors, TFL (the muscle that controls your IT band) and your glutes. These stretches improve the backwards movement of the leg enabling you to get the most power from your running stride by engaging the glute & hamstring muscles! Give these stretches a go before or after your run & you’ll soon be gliding like a gazelle!
