In this video I explain how to use your trail leg correctly when hurdling and show three of the best drills you can do to help increase your trail leg strength and flexibility, which will help you hurdle faster!
*The workout:
Fence Trail Leg Drill
3 sets x 20 with BOTH legs
Sliding Trail Leg Drill
2-3 sets x 10 reps with BOTH legs
Step Over Drill
2-3 times x 4-6 hurdles with BOTH legs
You can do this workout 2-3 times a week as part of your hurdle training days. Over time you will learn how to use your trail leg effectively and it will significantly reduce your hurdle times.
