The Bread Lab : Committed to Organic Food

Clif Bar is committed to funding five organic endowments (5 organic research chairs) by 2020. This will provide ongoing, lifetime organic research at these five universities—and organic research is historically and dramatically underfunded in the U.S. compared with conventional plant breeding research. This year, CLIF selected The Bread Lab and Prof. Steve Jones at Washington State University, to support the bread lab’s work, and more importantly—and the primary focus for the digital body of work—to address the economic challenges facing rural America.
