Interesting Thing of the Day

In his 1850 novel The Black Tulip, French author Alexandre Dumas (père) describes a competition, initiated by the Dutch city of Haarlem in the 1670s, in which 100,000 florins (150 florins being the average yearly income at the time) would be given to the first person who could grow a black tulip. Although Dumas’s story is fictional, it is based on a real phenomenon that took place in the Netherlands in the early 17th century. Between 1634 and 1637, the Netherlands (then called the United Provinces) saw the rise and…

My new mid-morning routine

Source Page fitnessista.com/my-new-mid-morning-routine/

Most of us know that an early morning pattern was not for me. While I really like the idea of starting the day on such a peaceful notice, I could envision myself sitting and trying to meditate while it was still dark outside, with tears softly cascading down my lips. I hate the mornings and I hold onto every possible moment of sleep with both hands. Maybe this will change when the girls get old, but probably not.

Spontaneous fufillment

I recently read The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire by Deepak Chopra and it is something that’s created a huge positive impact on my own life. I’ve been a fan of Deepak’s work for many years and use his meditation technique, and something about this publication called to me personally. A mother at the dance studio had it with her and the name intrigued me (I’m a creeper and look around to see what other people are studying ). I purchased it in the dance studio lobby in my telephone, as as soon as I read the summary online, I knew it’d be up my alley.

As you become more aware of coincidences and their meanings, you begin to connect increasingly more with the underlying field of infinite possibilities. That is when the magic begins. That is when you achieve the spontaneous fulfillment of desire.

And through specific principles and exercises he provides the tools with which to produce the magnificent, miraculous life that is our birthright.

This publication is quite Secret-esque, but rather than being purely anecdotal, it features historical data and science-based understanding. The author dives in to quantum physics (and describes it in laymen’s terms), also explains how we’re all linked to the power of this universe, in addition to the possibility which exists. He describes every one of us like waves of this sea; all entirely different and unique, but all part of something so much bigger.

I discovered the chapter coincidence really intriguing. Think about how many occasions coincidence has occurred in your life, and how everything appears to tie together at the end. An example that immediately stood out to me was teaching at the dance studio. A few coincidences happened while I was growing up (and instructing at the studio had been my fantasy ) and it ended up being a huge part of my life in high school and college. Another giant coincidence was this site and all the different opportunities that have transpired in the fact I was lonely and bored at Valdosta, yearning for some type of connection.

After learning about nonlocal intelligence and the ability of our body to utilize power and aim to manifest our needs – I know it sounds totally out there, but it makes sense as soon as you read it – he supplies a daily meditation and ritual to practice each day for seven days. As soon as you finish the seven days, you start again at the beginning and continue, because each time you’ll get more benefits from the exercises and the theme will remain in your subconscious.

Mid morning routine

Here is what it looks like:

– Surround yourself with archetypes that call to you which inspire you. He goes through the main archetypes from the publication, but you basically want to select images or items that inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

– Meditate, using the”so hum” mantra for about 10 minutes. (I really do 7 minutes.)

– Complete the daily exercise, which is a meditation using vivid imagery or a journaling exercise. There are a couple of exercises for each daily practice, so I have been picking one every time – in the event that you perform 2-3 it could make this a bigger time commitment of an hour or more – and this manner, every week, I am doing something different and new.

– Recite the goals and sutra for that day. I’ll discover that often throughout the day, I am reminded of this sutra and concentrate for that day.

With 7 minutes of meditation, the daily exercise, and also the sutra, I discover that the whole routine takes me 20-30 minutes max. When I am finished, I feel calm, centered, inspired and energized. While this does not happen at o-dark-thirty, I discover that I really enjoy doing so mid-morning, once I’ve dropped the girls off at school. I make it through the morning breakfast, pack up lunches and snacks, drop-off craziness, and this feels like a sweet reward. Later, when I sit down to perform or blitz round the house doing chores, I feel so much more successful.

It has been among the most valuable and transformative rituals I have added to my life. I am a fervent Latina, also grew up having a fervent soul; possibly I love you or you are making me frustrated. Since I’ve gotten older, wiser, and had children, I have mellowed a lot. The passage of time has helped immensely, especially paired with experiences like yoga instructor training and receiving my hormone levels sorted out. (I’m re-testing this month and will report back, but I feel amazing after adding in these supplements and making some lifestyle adjustments. This may be TMI but I do not suffer from PMS barely at all anymore.)

Since doing so practice, I feel the most ** I ever have. It has given me peace whilst considering the future (close, and down the line) along with the unknown. We’re in a transitional year this year as we figure out that the Pilot’s job scenario – he is doing the Reserves but please keep your fingers crossed for a call from the airways – and are settling into what will be our *ordinary. * (Stars around that since we know with kids and busy lifestyles, things are never truly normal.)

I may even find this novel as something I will read over and over again, adding to the circles, notes, and underlines I made the first time .

I would love to hear any morning patterns you’ve got, or any books which have inspired you lately! I am always searching for more to add to my listing.

xo
