1. Use 1 leg. 2 legs will also work but believe when I say you can probably get a better workout doing 1 leg a t a time focus on 1 butt cheek at a time but in order to same time then yes you can use 2 legs.

2. Push from your heels to activate your glutes or butt muscles. You can imply position your toes (if possible) off the leg press sled to fully focus on pushing from your heels so make sure your heels stay flat on the platform if doing it this way.

3. Come down as deep as you can or allow the leg press sled to come down as deep and as close to your chest or torso as possible without hurting you lower back. 4. Pause. Pausing will take away the momentum generated form the rubber band like stretch reflex in your muscles. You don’t have to pause but pausing kills all momentum and forces your butt to do 100% of the work. 1. Simply do leg presses the regular way!

2. But you can also employ the pause technique for better results

Either way you do the leg press will always result in you getting a good but, hip, hamstring and thigh workout. It’s just that there are ways you can maximize or target the butt and thighs better.
